It is defined by the beach, Ioanni Pasalidi Street and Skra Square. It was founded by refugees from the homonymous village on the beach of Propontis after the Asia Minor catastrophe. The village was purely Greek and had intense commercial activity. The inhabitants were engaged in crops, silk trade and fishing. When they arrived in Kalamaria, depending on their profession, most of them dispersed to other areas and cities such as Volos, Moudania, etc. Today it has an organized beach area with restaurants and entertainment shops
